There are two things that I find help keep my azalea's healthy

Every two weeks add some viniger to the water. the ratio is 1 cup per gallon.

Add your used tea bags too the soil (just the contents not the bag)

These are very suprising tips, never heard of it. The first sounds logic, because viniger is acid, but if you explain more about the used thee contents...do you just add it on the soil like you add a fertillizer and why?
Thanks very much for these tips anyway.

Marinko,

Used teabags or tea leaves are really good for many a plants. I use it too.

You've got a very nice tree. Btw, for how long this tree has been in your custody? Have you grown it all by yourself or had acquired it?

Marinko,

It's really a very nice tree with an impressive trunk movement. You don't get to see many Azaleas like this. I hope it recovers fast from the fungal attack.

My "Asahi- No-Hikari". A while ago, I removed all green part of the tree for esthetic reasons. Some of the twigs are just too long in my eyes. After removing all the green, I wired some branches and twigs to make a bit of the correction. The tree is budding now for at least 10 days.

Update.
It's still growing, but you can see the goal is more harmonious, less "messy" tree. It looks 2-dimensional on the photo.
