These are very suprising tips, never heard of it. The first sounds logic, because viniger is acid, but if you explain more about the used thee contents...do you just add it on the soil like you add a fertillizer and why?

Now that has turned into an ugly tree since its fungal infection. I believe this ugly duckling would better be suited for my bench than detract on yours! What say you? Wonderful I have yet to see a Satsuki with such character. I hope it fully recovers and that the episode just another bad dream.

NICE tree, Hope it all works o.k. I have an Azalea, but not a "satsuki",in training for 10 years that has this year decided not to play. It is sitting on the bench sulking. Not yet dead but not growing. I have checked out all the usual reasons, but nothing seem to be the cause for the lack of growth . A few leaves and the bark when scraped still shows green, so i can only hope. I also have a bigger one that i have planted in the garden to improve it's heath. Peter.

I don't think it had anything to do with lack of water. i have been accused of over watering trees, but i do use a very porous soil mix i.e. 70% grit. It started when "she who must be obeyed" decided that it needed pruning last year and i foolishly said DO IT. Peter.

It's also because it has acids and other fertilizers. Not quite sure. A friend suggested it and It worked like a dream. Anyway just put it on top like you would a fertilizer. Johnathan

Btw, for how long this tree has been in your custody? Have you grown it all by yourself or had acquired it? Shaukat

Marinko, It's really a very nice tree with an impressive trunk movement. You don't get to see many Azaleas like this. I hope it recovers fast from the fungal attack. Rgds, Shaukat
