I recently purchased my first azalea for bonsai. It's a "Dutches of Cypress" which has fairly small leaves and flowers.
My intention was to leave it alone until next spring, but the more I search for information on azalea the more confused I get. It seems that some are in the habit of working on them late in the season where others seem to think that work should be done in early spring, like most other trees.
I'm aware that the majority of the information I'm reading is particular to Satsuski, but how different can it be from what I have?
I would wait for next month's club meeting to get answers, but if I can work on it now I would rather not miss my window.
Oh, by the way, I live in Central Florida, zone 9b.
Thanks, Ed
